"Being a black woman running a food business from scratch has been quite rewarding in many ways. Aside from my clients positively affirming me with their amazing feedback and reviews, I’ve been told by others, especially other black females, how much I inspire them. To me, that’s everything. If what I’m doing and the challenges I go through by running Yemides Kitchen, inspires one or two black people that they too can start a business or they can do that thing they love, then I’ve accomplished my goal of impacting my generation."
“a friend is someone who overlooks your broken fence and admires the flowers in your garden”🌻🌺
Increasingly more hate crimes are being carried out against the Asian community with many incidents not being reported or making the news. Whether overt or covert, the racism is there and we NEED to do our bit to bring an end to this. We need to continue to show our support until racism is no longer a thing. The key word here is “continue”. Actively be against racism, always. Let’s all strive to do what we can. Now is not the time to stay silent. #hateisavirus #stopasianhate
It’s International Women’s Month!!⭐️Here at She Stands Firm I’ve always been passionate about empowering women. I especially find it beautiful when us women empower each other. Let’s all make a habit of showing the women around us how much we care. Something as simple as a little encouragement can go a long way. Celebrate the women around you everyday✨
For those struggling right now: When life gets tough, take some time to look back. Look at how far you’ve come, look at how much you’ve achieved. All the bad moments you feared in the past, you overcame. Have hope that this is also just another moment you will overcome. You will continue to survive ⭐️
ready to face the new month ahead!💪🏾💪🏾a new month calls for new opportunities to grow & find joy in the little things. remember to treat yourself with kindness this month 💛
